*Canadian students only. This deposit is applied to student accounts following the ‘Last Day to Drop Classes’.

Payment Requirements

For regular semester courses Canadian students, with the exception of intensive courses, 50% payment of all fees are due prior to the first day of classes.  The balance of account must be paid by the ‘Last Day to Drop Classes’.

For intensive courses, 100% of all fees are due prior to the first day of class.

To obtain a special accommodation, such as a deferred payment plan, students must apply by visiting the CBT Business Office. Accommodations must be approved by the Business Office and supported by written documentation.

Students whose accounts are ‘not in good standing’ are ineligible to register for classes, attend classes, write final exams, receive grades or transcripts, or graduate.

Payment Options

Preferred methods of payment are debit, cheque and cash at the business office as well as Interact e-Transfer; for instructions email business@cbtsc.ca.

International Students

In compliance with Alberta Designation Requirements (ADR) CBT is required to have ‘Phased Tuition Collection’ for all international (including US) students.

The payment schedule is as follows *:

  • At least 10% of TOTAL SCHOOL FEES on acceptance
  • 25% due prior to the first day of the semester
  • 25% due by the first day of Reading Week
  • Remainder due 7 days prior to the first day of exam week


*Canada Immigration and/or other governmental regulations may necessitate additional or other requirements regarding the payment of tuition.

All international students will submit and agree to the terms of an International Student Payment Plan on the Friday prior to the start of classes. This only relates to fall and winter semesters. Tuition for intensive courses is due in full the Friday before class begins.

Refunds

  • A student dropping a course prior to the start date will receive a full refund of monies paid.
  • A student dropping a course after the start date and before the drop date in exchange for another course will be neither penalized nor refunded.
  • A student dropping a course after the start date, and before the drop date, but who is not exchanging for another course, will be refunded in full, minus a $400 fee per course dropped.
  • A student dropping a course after the drop date will receive no refund.
  • There are no refunds for intensive courses after the course has started.
