Work Dynamics:

  • 30 – 40 hours per week. (Part-time or Full-time is negotiable)

  • This position is under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.
  • Salary is determined by a salary gridline and is adjusted to education and experience.
  • A minimum of three weeks’ vacation is given each year.
  • Three personal Sunday’s can be booked off each year, provided there is a suitable replacement.

Lead Pastor

Position Summary

The Lead Pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader, shepherd, and teacher of Southwinds Church. He will faithfully preach and teach God’s Word, nurture the spiritual health of the congregation, and lead the church in its mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Working collaboratively with the Management Team, staff, and ministry leaders, the Lead Pastor will provide vision and leadership to strengthen discipleship, equip members for ministry, and engage the surrounding community with the gospel.

POSITION OVERVIEW

First Baptist Church of Kamloops seeks a biblically qualified, Spirit-filled pastor to serve as Associate Pastor of Families and Principal of First Baptist Classical Academy (FBCA). This dual role encompasses both pastoral ministry to families within the church and administrative leadership of the church’s classical Christian school. The successful candidate will be a man of godly character who demonstrates both pastoral care and educational vision, leading with wisdom, humility, and a commitment to the authority of Scripture.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

  • Bible College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of pastoral ministry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in family ministry, children’s ministry, or youth ministry
  • Strong leadership and administrative abilities
  • Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening

PREFERRED:

Worship Coordinator

Job description: Mountain Creek Community Church is a two-site church in Edgemont and Midnapore with English and Chinese joint ministries. We are seeking someone bi-vocational or an individual in Christian ministry training to regularly lead worship on Sundays and lead our worship ministry.

The Worship Leader will report to the Lead Pastor. They will plan worship, schedule singers and instrumentalists, lead worship on Sundays, and participate in the spiritual life of the church. Ministry will happen at both north and south sites. There is certainly potential to grow the role into other areas of ministry.

Hours: 10 hours per week ($20/hour to start)

SENIOR PASTOR

Associate Pastor

At High River Baptist Church (HRBC), we envision a world reconciled to God, through Christ, reflecting His glory. Lead Elder

Job Summary

Centre Church is seeking a Lead Elder who meets the biblical qualifications for eldership as described in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.

The Lead Elder will serve as the primary shepherd and teaching elder of the church while working alongside the existing eldership team. He will help guide the spiritual direction of the church, equip leaders, preach the Word of God, and provide pastoral oversight to the congregation.

This role functions within a plurality of elders, with the Lead Elder serving as a first among equals who helps lead the elder team and broader leadership structures of the church.

The position may be fully vocational or bi-vocational, depending on the candidate and circumstances.

Job Responsibilities

The Lead Elder is responsible for:

Preaching and Teaching

  • Preach regularly at Sunday gatherings.
  • Work toward raising up and mentoring additional teachers from within the congregation so that preaching responsibilities can be shared.

Spiritual Leadership

Pastoral Responsibilities

Preaching & Teaching

  • Provide biblical counselling, regular visitation, prayer ministry etc.
  • Perform baptisms, conduct funerals, weddings & other congregational events where Pastor is needed.

Discipleship

  • Disciple & train up individuals & leaders for the work of ministry, with intention & regularity.
  • Equip disciples to make new disciples & leaders to make new leaders.
  • Lead by example by loving God & loving people, living out a life devoted to following Jesus.

Administration

  • Work alongside leadership & the board in the operational affairs of the church.
  • Participate in monthy board meetings.
  • Schedule Elder meetings to discuss the spiritual leadership of the church.

Qualifications

  • A devoted Christ believer & follower able to articulate the true biblical Gospel of our Lord & Saviour.
  • Meets the biblical qualifications for an elder as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
  • An affirmed calling to Pastoral ministry.

Your Work With Us

Youth

  • Provide spiritual leadership and counsel for the youth, youth leaders and parents. Includes being an informed resource for youth and parents regarding contemporary youth issues and concerns (e.g., online bullying, social media, drug use)—and regularly praying for the youth, youth leaders and parents.
  • If you have musical skill, lead our youth music team with warmth and humility, inviting participation over performance.
  • Coordinate and integrate the youth ministry with the goals and activities of Emmanuel Baptist Church. This includes attendance at weekly staff meetings (Tuesday mornings), worship gatherings, congregational meetings, youth nights, planning and attending CBWC’s annual Youth SERVE events and other fellowship opportunities. The church sometimes takes on interns. If there is a youth intern, the youth pastor would be involved in supervising the intern families
  • Provide pastoral leadership for our children’s ministries.
  • Work with and provide training for volunteers in our Sunday school, family outreach events, church camp weekend, Summer Ministries, and other ministries with families and children.

General

  • As a member of the pastoral team, assist with preaching, service leading, pastoral care, and other such ministerial functions as appropriate (dependent on calling and giftings, and in consultation with the Lead Pastor and Mandarin Pastor).
  • Consult regularly with the Christian Education Coordinator

Requirements:

  • must have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • must have a heart for youth and families ministry
  • a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Christian Ministry, or a related field is preferred, though not required. Candidates currently pursuing, or planning to pursue, theological education are encouraged to apply.
  • 3+ years of experience working with children and youth preferred
  • must be skilled in teaching the Bible in lessons, talks, and Bible study formats
  • a skilled planner, organizer, communicator, and leader
  • ability to relate to people of all ages with different socioeconomic resources, educational abilities and cultures.
  • current First Aid certification is preferred but not required

Possibility of Future Full-time Position:

In the future, this position could be full-time. If so, worship ministry responsibilities could be added to the job description and housing could be available to the candidate. Looking for an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Position Overview: Turning Point Youth Centre is seeking a passionate, faith-driven Executive Director (ED) to lead the organization into its next chapter. The ED is the primary decision maker and leader at TPYC; implementing a strategy to deliver on the vision central to TPYC’s existence is the key responsibility of the role and will require interacting with youth, staff, volunteers, community stakeholders, donors, the executive committee, and church council.

Role Details Bible/General Education Instructor

  • Primary role is classroom instruction. Twelve credit hours per semester is considered full-time for those without significant administrative roles (dependent upon class sizes).
  • Courses taught would likely include Bible/Theology (e.g., Gospels, General Epistles, Minor Prophets), general education and ministry training courses (e.g., Communicating the Bible, Apologetics & Evangelism, Ministry Foundations, Leadership Dynamics, Church History, and varying electives). This can be somewhat dependent upon specific education, experience and interest. NBC can provide current syllabi and course notes/outlines.
  • Position may be combined with other administrative or leadership roles depending upon the individual’s gifting and the current needs of the college.
  • Starting salary is $46,980/year with benefits (could be flexible pending experience)
