Supporting Every Student

Student Life is committed to every student. From fall and spring orientations to dedicated international student support—including airport transit and housing help—we make settling into Cochrane easy. We connect new students with returning families and host seasonal recruiting days for prospective students to tour campus and meet our team.
We’re just as committed to our distance learners and commuters. Our virtual Distance Learner cohort meets monthly to pray, collaborate on assignments, and build community. No matter your circumstances or how you attend, our deepest desire is that you feel cared for and fully included in our school family.

Community Gatherings

Community and fellowship are deeply valued at CBT. We kick off every academic year with a relaxed family picnic to connect students, faculty, and staff. Throughout the year, we host regular themed fellowship events—from holiday dinners and chili cook-offs to pancake breakfasts—welcoming students, families, local church partners, and ministry leaders to share life together and stay connected.

Spiritual Life & Student Leadership

Chapel services are held weekly on Wednesdays. These gatherings bring students, staff, and faculty together for community worship, preaching, and encouragement in Christian ministry. While students are encouraged to attend all services, recorded chapel messages are always available at cbtsc.ca/chapel.
Student Council works alongside leadership to shape campus life. They plan events, advocate for student needs, pray together, and foster community. In addition to leading chapel once a semester and providing leadership to the student body, they keep everyone connected through an online Discord community.

Women's Ministry & Recreation

We invest deeply in connecting, encouraging, and equipping the women on campus. Through monthly event nights and an annual fall retreat, this ministry creates space for fun, prayer, and spiritual growth. It’s the perfect place for students, spouses, faculty, and staff to build one-on-one connections and prepare for a lifetime of ministry.
We offer recreational opportunities every semester to help you recharge. From intramural sports like soccer and basketball to at least one hike per semester, these activities are a great way to step away from the books and connect with fellow students.

Refresh & Renew

Settling In
We help new students get oriented not just to the CBT community, but to the town of Cochrane (just 5 km away). For international students especially, we connect you with community agencies and strategic partners who can help you find work, meet other newcomers to Canada, and develop your English language skills. We’ll also help you navigate access to medical and mental health resources, and point you to where you can shop for groceries and everyday essentials. Just let us know what you need.
Building Community
Student Life supports all CBT students. Our team includes the Student Council, the Women in Ministry Team Lead, and the Student Life Director. We help you build genuine friendships through special events like sports nights, mountain hikes, and seasonal gatherings — family members are always welcome. We also advocate for student concerns with school administration, and we take seriously the trust you place in us.
