Ten professors teaching across the seminary and college.
Dr. Blackaby served for thirteen years as the senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Calgary, Alberta, and as the lead planter of Southwinds Church. He joined CBT in 2007.
Dr. Booth previously served as a pastor in Texas and as a professor at the Hungarian Baptist Seminary in Budapest, Hungary. He joined CBT in 2000 under appointment of the International Mission Board (SBC).
In the role of Academic Dean since 2005. he gives leadership to the faculty and serves on the President’s cabinet. Dr. Booth’s publications include Selected Peak Marking Features in the Gospel of John as well as numerous articles and has contributed study notes to the CSB Holy Land Illustrated Bible and the NET Study Bible. Dr. Booth enjoys helping students interpret the New Testament and finding application for the Christian life and ministry.
Dr. Robbie Booth was Lecturer in New Testament for five years at Union Theological College in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he taught both graduate and undergraduate students. He joined the CBT faculty in 2026.
He also served in a variety of administrative roles including Programme Director of the Postgraduate Certificate in Biblical Greek as well as the MTh in New Testament. He is the author of First Jerusalem, Then the Parousia: A Case for a Simple Preterist-Futurist Interpretation of Matthew 24-25. He has also published several articles and book reviews, contributed to the NET Study Bible, and presented at the Irish Biblical Association and the Evangelical Theological Society. Having grown up in Cochrane, Dr. Booth is excited to raise his three sons in his hometown as well as serve on the faculty of his alma mater. He is passionate about teaching God’s Word to students who are preparing to serve the Lord in the local church and beyond
Dr. Susan Booth taught Old and New Testament Survey at Weatherford Jr. College in Weatherford, Texas, before being appointed by the International Mission Board to serve in Budapest, Hungary. The Booths transferred to Canada and joined CBT in January 2000.
Professor Zeta Lee served as a missionary in South Africa and as a pastor in Calgary for fifteen years before joining CBT. He joined the faculty of CBT in 2024.
Currently, Professor Lee is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Clinical Counselling and Psychotherapy at Tyndale Seminary. He contributes a column on marriage for a Christian newspaper in Canada and serves as a speaker at various Christian conferences. He also serves local churches through preaching, training, and seminars. Alongside his teaching duties, Professor Lee enjoys a communal life on campus with his wife and two children, engaging deeply with students outside the classroom. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, riding E-bikes, and kayaking.
Dr. Parsons has been serving at CBT since 2002 where he teaches courses in Hermeneutics, Backgrounds, and Old Testament. He is also the Director of Online Education and assists the faculty in delivering our Distance Education program.
In addition, he serves as the Director of IT/Resources for Blackaby Ministries International (BMI) where he provides general oversight for BMI Technology and works with the BMI Team to maximize production and distribution of all BMI resources. Dr. Parsons is often behind the scenes running sound for chapel, lending a hand in the kitchen, or helping students with computer issues. When it comes to students, Dr. Parsons really enjoys helping them understand and appreciate the context behind the Bible.
Dr. Peacock was raised as a missionary kid in South Korea, he has served in churches in the USA, Scotland, and Alberta. He has published journal articles on missions and biblical theology, as well as contributing to the CSB Holy Land Illustrated Bible and the CSB Study Bible. Dr. Peacock joined CBT in 1997.
Most recently, he has published several Bible commentaries and teacher training materials for LifeWay, supplementing the Explore the Bible and The Gospel Project curricula. These include Jeremiah-Lamentations, Exodus-Leviticus, and Numbers-Deuteronomy. He enjoys helping his students use both their hearts and minds to understand God’s word, hear His voice, and see how it ever speaks into our lives. This results in many conversations in the classroom, in the hallway, and in the office.
Dr. Sieberhagen previously served as a church planter with the International Mission Board in Belgium for 10 years where he pastored the Namur Bible Church. His publications include a recent chapter in the book The Signs of the Times (2025) on the subject of holy fools as well as multiple articles on the interplay between art and theology. In 2026, he was appointed by the IMB to his role at CBT.
Dr. Sieberhagen enjoys exploring subjects related to Christology, theological aesthetics, secularism, and political theology. He brings his missionary experience, his love for the Word of God, and his passion for the beauty of Christ into the classroom for both English-speaking and French-speaking students.

Trusted scholars and pastors who teach alongside our core faculty.
Richard has been the seminary chancellor since 2006. He is the President of Blackaby Ministries International.
He has authored or co-authored 36 books. He speaks internationally on spiritual leadership in the home, church, and marketplace, as well as on spiritual awakening, experiencing God, and the Christian life. Richard regularly ministers to Christian CEOs and church and family leaders. He and his wife, Lisa, live in Atlanta, GA.
She has spent thirty-five years teaching all aspects of Christian History and twenty years directing Ph.D. programs.
B.S. University of North Texas in Education; M.Div.B.L., Ph.D., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, with double major concentrations in Church History and Missions and a minor in Biblical Backgrounds Archaeology; Post-Doctorate Visiting Scholar in Baptist Heritage, Regent’s Park, Oxford. Dr. Bullock has spent thirty-five years teaching all aspects of Christian History, including Baptist Heritage, and twenty years directing Ph.D. programs at three theological institutions. She is the author of numerous books, chapters, peer review, encyclopedia, and denominational articles, monographs, documentaries, commissioned papers and studies, quarterly series, magazines, and blogs, all related to Christian heritage and missions. She began teaching for CBTS&C in 2003.
Tyler has been a youth pastor, associate pastor and is Senior Pastor at Crescent Heights Baptist Church in Calgary since 2017.

Tyler has been a youth pastor, associate pastor, worked in landscape construction and design, and has, since 2017, been the Senior Pastor at Crescent Heights Baptist Church in Calgary, where he first became a Christian and was baptized in 1995. He has taught Health and Wellness at CBT since 2018, as well as Theology of Care at Alberta Bible College since 2019. He and his wife Angela have been married since 2000 and have four children. In addition to spending time with his family and working, he enjoys reading, running, and working out.
Dr. Morris and his wife served as IMB missionaries in various locations within South America for almost 28 years.

Dr. Morris and his wife served as IMB missionaries in various locations within South America for almost 28 years. Called to train pastors on the mission field, his missionary career began as the Director of the Baptist Bible Institute in Maracaibo, Venezuela. In 1999, he and his wife became Strategy Coordinator trainers for the Caribbean Basin and South America Regions. He also taught as an Adjunct Professor of Missions and Biblical Studies for the Seminario Teológico Bautista de Santiago in Chile and as a Guest Professor for Universidad Bautista in Cali, Colombia. The Morrises joined CBT in 2016 and enjoy investing in the lives of students inside and outside the classroom.
In the early 90s Elaine served with Rural Evangelism as a short-term missionary among the Kalahari Desert people.

In the early 1990s Elaine served with Rural Evangelism as a short-term missionary among the Kalahari Desert people of Xade, Botswana. She taught various language and literacy courses as well as Linguistics and Literary Theory at UJ (formerly RAU) until 1998, when she and her husband moved from South Africa to Canada. She has been at CBT since 2000, first as a student and currently as a college instructor of English, Christian Classics, Research Strategies, History of Western Civilization, and Art and Music courses. Elaine has a passion for her subject matter and for her students, and she aims to teach art, books, and music in their historical and literary contexts.
In 2015, he graduated with an M.A. (with distinction) in Military History. He has taught at CBT since 2015.

Robin worked in accounting and industry from 1992 to 2003, and has been in private practice as an accountant since 2004. In 2015, he graduated with an M.A. (with distinction) in Military History. He has taught at CBT as a college instructor of history since 2015. His passions are history and running.
