Monday

• No classes Monday mornings. Use this time for reading, study groups, and ministry placements.

Tuesday

8:00 - 9:20 AM

This course coheres in the teaching of Jesus about Christian discipleship in the Sermon on the Mount. The Kingdom ethic of Jesus is of paramount interest and focus. The entire course is focused in Kingdom ethics and lifestyle and how these are daily lived in discipleship and evidenced by character. Specific contemporary moral issues are considered in the Kingdom ethic context.
New Testament I focuses on the world out of which the New Testament arose, the distinctives of the four Gospels, and the life and ministry of Jesus.

9:30 - 10:50 AM

This course surveys the basic perspectives involved in being “on mission with God,” such as biblical foundations (theology), history of missions, cross cultural interactions, and strategies.

11:00 - 12:30 PM

This course is designed to equip students with the basic principles of grammatical-historical biblical interpretation. Students are encouraged to take this course early in their degree program.
This course is the first in a sequence which orients the student to the study of the Greek New Testament. Greek I introduces the student to the grammar and syntax of biblical Greek. The overall aim is to equip the student to use the Greek New Testament for preaching and teaching responsibilities in ministry.

This course is designed to give the student a theological understanding of comedy, laughter and joy as used in the Bible, church history, Christian art, and the health and ministry of the pastor. This course will welcome students into the tradition of fools for Christ, with practical application as to its use in the ministry and life of the pastor today.

Wednesday

8:00 - 9:20 AM

This course provides principles of sermon preparation and delivery, selection and interpretation of the text, formation of the sermon idea, development of sermon material, arrangement of the sermon structure, and delivery of the sermon. Prerequisite for this course is 2B3311 Biblical Interpretation or permission from the professor.

9:30 - 10:50 AM

Christian Theology I is designed to introduce students to the field of systematic theology and offer an overview of core Christian beliefs, including Bibliology, Theology Proper, Anthropology, and Christology.

11:00-11:55 am

1:00 - 2:20 PM

This course examines the nature and dynamics of both personal and organizational conflicts. It will offer an approach to conflict resolution that is sensitive to the character and purposes of God. The course will include a focus on administrative and relational skills applicable to personal or church conflict situations.

Thursday
