PROGRAM DIRECTOR (2)

To run Willow Creek and one to Run our Wilderness site—Coat Creek Ministry Description: To co-ordinate and supervise all areas of the camp program (daily schedule, games, skills, chapels, etc.), to mentor counsellors, help with camper and staff behaviour, may lead a cabin as a counsellor of needed and to assist wherever needed.

JR STAFF TRAINING LEADER (1)

Ministry Description: To help develop a training program for 15-16 year olds.

– To lead group of up to 9 youth in each session. Sessions will include: bible studies, mentorship, activity development (archery, horsemanship, climbing, canoeing– we will also train you), group project, cleaning duties, junior counsellor development and more.

HEAD COOK (2)

Ministry Description: menu planning, food ordering, overseeing the cooking of meals, overseeing volunteers and youth program participants, keep kitchen clean, cook at Willow Creek as well as at Coat Creek, assist wherever needed.

HEAD WRANGLER (2)

Ministry Description: to plan and implement horse programs, care and feed horses, organize tack, work horses, keep barn and tac area clean, lead trail rides, manage other wranglers, engage campers about their faith journey, assist where needed in other areas of the camp and possibly lead pack trips. One to run our resident site and one to run the wilderness site.

HEAD MAINTENANCE PERSON (1)

Ministry Description: – responsible for all areas of maintenance – fixing, painting, removing, mowing, weed whacking, chainsaw work – cutting trees for firewood, taking recyclables and cardboard to town, small building projects, participating in chapels and other camp activities. Must have a valid driver’s licence.

SUMMER SECRETARY

Ministry Description: answer phone calls, emails, finances (petty cash, Mastercard reconciliation, revenue (all real easy), photocopying, grocery runs, helps wherever needed. Must have a valid drivers licence. If possible, we would like this person to be in nursing training in order to serve as Camp Nurse.

1-3 MONTH PAID POSITIONS

Dates of Service: May 28th to August 24

PROGRAM STAFF (4)

Ministry Description: To lead and guide a camper in such a way that they will have an opportunity to receive Christ and/or grow in their Christian life, to be responsible for the campers’ safety and hygiene, to teach or help teach assigned activities, to lead cabin Bible studies and devotions each day and participate in chapel services. Counsellors and program staff will fluctuate between Willow Creek and Coat Creek sites.

ASSISTANT WRANGLER (2)

Ministry Description: To help care for the horses, to assist in the program for the summer camps, to help maintain the horsemanship area, to participate in camp chapels and other camp activities, to work at Willow Creek or Coat Creek as needed.

ASSISTANT COOK (1)

Ministry Description: to assist the head cook in the kitchen—prep when groups are here, organizing and getting the kitchen ready for the summer, cooking for spring staff, possibly cooking at Coat Creek and helping wherever needed at the ranch.

NURSE/FIRST AID PERSON:

Ministry Description: to administer first aid and medications to campers and staff, to observe the overall health of staff and campers, to assist in other areas of camp as needed.

2 MONTH PAID POSITIONS

Dates of Service: May 1—June 22

Worship Leader

Job description: Mountain Creek Community Church is a two-site church in Edgemont and Midnapore with English and Chinese joint ministries. We are seeking someone bi-vocational or an individual in Christian ministry training to regularly lead worship on Sundays and lead our worship ministry.

The Worship Leader will report to the Lead Pastor. They will plan worship, schedule singers and instrumentalists, lead worship on Sundays, and participate in the spiritual life of the church. Ministry will happen at both north and south sites.

There is certainly potential to grow the role into other areas of ministry.

Searching for a faithful and passionate individual to join our ministry team as an Associate Pastor overseeing our English Ministry.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Pastor – High Level Evangelical Church

The Role: High Level Evangelical Church (HLEC) is looking for a Lead Pastor with a shepherd’s heart. This man will model a strong walk with Christ, have a clear calling to pastoral ministry, and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the board, will lead the church to a closer and deeper relationship with God. He will do this through solid Bible-based teaching and preaching that has application at all levels of maturity.   1. Leader Development

a. Oversee and develop Tab Ministry Coordinators, encouraging and intentionally equipping them to develop their ministry teams. Recruit ministry coordinators to fill empty roles.

   2. Music Ministry

c. Planning and running worship / music / outreach events throughout the year.

   3. General Pastoral Ministry

a. With the Lead Pastor and Elders, fulfill The Tab’s Mission, Values and Vision through preaching, teaching, evangelism, communication, stewardship, and accountability.

b. Oversee and teach when needed the Sunday morning adult discipleship class and assist with Sunday morning services; occasional preaching, as requested by the Lead Pastor.

c. In collaboration with the Elders and other Tab leaders, disciple members in spiritual maturity and equip them to use their spiritual gifts for effective ministry within and outside the church community.

d. As requested, by the Lead Pastor, assist with baptisms, communion, church membership, counselling, baby dedications, funerals, weddings, visitations (home, care homes, hospitals), etc.

e. Provide support to the Lead Pastor.

   4. Qualifications and Practical Considerations

a. Biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1) – Leads by example.

b. Agree with The Tab’s Statement of Faith.

c. Be a team player who encourages and work well with staff and those serving in the various Tab Ministries.

d. Skilled in administration, clear communication, counselling, conflict resolution, delegation, discipleship and mentoring, strategic leadership, fiscal responsibility, public relations, and working with a diversity of ages and backgrounds.

e. Education – Minimum of BA in Biblical Studies or the equivalent training and experience.

f. Willing to be accountable to the Lead Pastor and Board of Elders regarding fulfilling ministry responsibilities, use of ministry time, scheduled time off, and evaluations.

g. Maintain office hours and a work schedule that ensures the fulfillment of the role and predictable availability in addition to Sunday ministry, as agreed upon with the Lead Pastor.

h. Ensure self-care that balances time and energy for work, recreation, family, peer accountability, and personal development.

DESCRIPTION

Harmony Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and relational Associate Pastor to join our team. This full-time position will focus on discipling youth and families while collaborating with the Senior Pastor in broader ministry responsibilities. The Associate Pastor will play a vital role in preaching occasionally, leading worship services, participating in pastoral care, and helping to develop an exceptional Sunday School ministry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Youth and Family Ministry

  • Build relationships with students and their parents, by visiting, encouraging, and providing them with resources. View your relationship with parents as a partnership. Clear and consistent communication with parents and families is prioritized.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers to serve in youth and family ministry.

Collaboration with the Senior Pastor

  • Participate in leading Sunday worship services, as directed by the Senior Pastor, which may include prayer, Scripture reading, and announcements, and preaching occasionally, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Community Outreach

  • Work with our team of experienced and passionate volunteers to cast a compelling vision for Boomerang Day Camp, as our summer outreach program.
  • Plan and implement all aspects of the camp, including curriculum, activities, schedules, and staffing.
  • Recruit and train volunteers, and camp staff, in collaboration with the team to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Promote the camp in the community to share the love of Christ with children and their families.
  • Develop a follow-up program, and additional events to build on the relationships initiated through day camp.

Pastor of New Hope Kids

The Pastor of New Hope Kids will lead all the New Hope Kids Sunday morning ministries including Nursery, Kids Church and Registration at all present and future locations.

They will direct the mission, vision and curriculum of NHKids and oversee and care for the volunteer leaders of these ministries providing coaching and empowering them to grow and strengthen their teams.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Lead the New Hope Kids (NHKids) Sunday morning ministries, which includes Nursery, Kids Church and Registration, at all locations. Set the vision for where the teams need to be in the future and teach and coach the volunteer leaders towards those goals.
  • Oversee and ensure the execution, facilitation and organization by volunteer ministry leaders of all New Hope Kids Sunday programs.
  • Lead the implementation and development of the NHK curriculum, along with the Family Pastor.
  • Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders to recruit, onboard and retain volunteers to ensure the ministries are able to function in a sustainable and healthy way, positioned for growth.
  • Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders as they develop, build, and equip their teams. Provide specific in situ coaching and training for those in teaching roles.
  • Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders to care for the physical ministry spaces and supplies
  • Provide discipleship and pastoral care for volunteer leaders.

Soul Care Plan (Mind, Body + Soul):

Every Staff member at New Hope Church creates and submits a yearly soul care plan that ensures overall spiritual health. This includes: 1 week of professional development, 1 week of prayer, and vacation weeks. We also provide paid counselling, coaching, and study resources.

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Family Ministry required, experience in teaching and school settings also and asset
  • Experience with recruiting training and developing leaders.
  • Post-Secondary Education: Bible College or Seminary preferred, BEd and/or OCT also an asset.

Probationary Period – All new employees will be on a three-month probation period effective the first day of their employment. During the probation period either the employee or New Hope Church may end the employment for any or no reason with or without notice.

Purpose

To shepherd, lead and minister to the church congregation as a Senior Pastor.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

The position requires a person with theological training, ideally a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary or equivalent. Prior ordination is preferred, but not necessary. The candidate should fully support our Baptist convictions and our congregation’s desire to empower every member of the congregation for Mission and Ministry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Preach in a weekly Sunday morning service and lead the midweek Bible study
  • Counselling and visitation of church attendees as needed
  • Attend regular board and committee meetings
  • Has a reasonable understanding of Grace Baptist Church’s Constitution, Ministry Manual and By-Laws
  • Hold regular office hours within the Church
  • Supportive of ministries within the Church (music, mission, youth, weddings, funerals, etc.)
  • Lead, motivate and enable members regarding involvement
  • Involvement in community outreach

Ministry

  • Has a comprehensive view of Biblical truth
  • Strong preacher, able to make the Gospel clear and relevant to everyday life
  • Able to communicate the Gospel to people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Open to different methods and strategies of worship and ministry
  • Skilled in motivating and enabling people to explore new possibilities
  • Relates well with youth and able to communicate with them

Other Responsibilities

  • Approachable and a person of honesty and integrity
  • Strong communication skills, able to present thoughts and teachings in an understandable and relevant manner- Attentive to members’ needs and open to opinions of others
  • Relates well to people of various ethnic backgrounds
  • Works as a team with various committees and pastoral staff
  • Willing to visit members who cannot aWend service regularly
  • Willingness to strive for new members using various methods of outreach

General Position Description

Lakeside Heights Baptist Church (LHBC), located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, is prayerfully seeking God’s provision for a leader to guide us in the next chapter of our church’s journey. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and approachable leader who loves the Lord, embraces our mission, recognizes the importance of worship, connects with our multigenerational and culturally diverse congregation, and preaches the Word of God in an engaging and relatable manner for today’s world.

About LHBC:

Established in 1967, LHBC is situated in the West Island of Montreal. Pointe-Claire is primarily an English-speaking community. Our congregation averages around 60 attendees weekly and is diverse in both nationalities and Christian backgrounds. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming, family- oriented church. We are affiliated with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Preaching and Teaching
    • Prepare and deliver biblically sound, relevant, and inspiring sermons that can be applied to everyday living.
    • Lead Bible studies and oversee and participate in weekly prayer meetings, and any other small groups.
    • Review and approve Christian Education curriculum for Sunday School.
  • Pastoral Care
    • Provide spiritual counseling and guidance to individuals and families in addition to fostering spiritual growth and discipleship.
    • Develop relationships with the church family and support them during times of need.
    • Nurture new attendees with the goal of bringing them to Christ.
  • Leadership and Community Outreach
    • Collaborate with church leaders and volunteers to plan and execute ministry initiatives and worship services while honouring the democratic process at all times under the authority of the bible.
    • Participate in outreach programs to engage with the local community.
    • Promote lay-leadership and congregational involvement in Worship and Christian Education
    • Attend monthly Council meetings in an ex-officio capacity.

Desired Qualities:

  • A deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out the gospel.
  • Experience in pastoral ministry, with a focus on preaching, teaching biblical scripture and providing pastoral care.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to reveal the person of Jesus Christ with clear relevant preaching and teaching.
  • Ability to connect with a diverse congregation across different ages and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong tech skills

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Preferred Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Alignment with Baptist theology and practices.
  • Ordained or willing to seek accreditation with Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ)

We are looking for a pastor that has experience leading a church. We are looking for a pastor that will lead and teach prayerfully and compassionately. We are looking for someone that is rooted in the written Word of God and will focus on guiding the congregants to fulfill Gods call in their own lives. We are not looking for someone that believes he is the only one able to teach and preach in a Sunday service, but someone that is willing to be part of a team already in action.

We are looking for someone that agrees with our Statement of Faith.

And would line up with the Evangelical Free Church of Canada Character & Calling statement

Duties would include, but are not limited to;

  • leading Sunday worship services, encouraging participation from all ages.
  • Community involvement, pastoral care and visitation
  • Mission support and direction
  • Participation and collaboration with the Church Board in church life planning and organization.

Salary and benefits Commensurate with experience.

About us:

This community church was founded in 1940. Several of the first members are still in the congregation today. We have a healthy and consistent attendance of between 85 and a 100 people.

Membership is currently at 53. We are a diverse crew and the fellowship is rich with personality and love.

There are several active ministries. Sunday school, youth group, small group bible studies, Womens & Mens ministries. The church itself is a beautiful building. The sanctuary on one side and a fellowship hall with large kitchen on the other, all renovated and updated.

The area is home to Manitou Lake Bible Camp, a One Hope Canada Ministries Bible Camp MEFC is an active supporter and partner to this ministry.
