Monday

9:30 - 10:50 AM

The purpose of Experiencing God Life Group I & II is to provide college students the opportunity to find accountability, prayer support, and engaging discussion as they consider God’s will for their personal lives and their involvement in a local church. Required for all first-year non-ministerial college students, except for those enrolled in the CCS.

1:00 - 2:20 PM

This course is designed to help students write effective research papers utilizing critical thinking skills at the university level. Emphasis will also be given to finding appropriate resources, conducting proper research, and observing citation conventions. Prerequisites for this course are 1L3311 English Composition 101 and 1L3313 English Composition 102.

2:30 - 4:00 PM

This course is an introduction to earth science including physical and historical geology, meteorology, and descriptive astronomy, addressing the economic, social and philosophic aspects of the subject matter.

Tuesday

8:00 - 9:20 AM

This is an introductory course in the principles and theories in the field of psychology from a Christian perspective. Attention will be given to how these theoretical views may have application to counselling situations found in ministry.

9:30 - 10:50 AM

Emphasis will also be given to finding appropriate resources, conducting proper research, and observing citation conventions. Prerequisites for this course are 1L3311 English Composition 101 and 1L3313 English Composition 102.

1:30 - 2:50 PM

This course is designed to assist students in writing university-level papers and covers the essential elements of composition, including basic grammar and sentence and paragraph structure. This course is required for all first-year students.

3:00 - 4:20 PM

This course is designed to give the student a theological understanding of comedy, laughter and joy as used in the Bible, church history, Christian art, and the health and ministry of the pastor. This course will welcome students into the tradition of fools for Christ, with practical application as to its use in the ministry and life of the pastor today.

Wednesday

This course examines both the importance of living Gospel-centred lives and the practical skills of sharing the Gospel with others. The course also provides opportunities for the student to engage in missional conversations.

Biblical Interpretation
Dr. Steve Parsons
This course is a survey of the basic principles of Bible interpretation. The student will gain an understanding and appreciation of the nature of the Bible, the nature and history of biblical interpretation, and its contemporary relevance. The student will also learn and apply the basic principles for grammatical-historical interpretation.
